There's no better place to celebrate Independence Day than right here in Boerne, Texas. As our nation marks America's 250th anniversary, Boerne is pulling out all the stops with patriotic events, family-friendly activities, live music, local shopping, and an unforgettable fireworks display.

Whether you're a longtime resident, new to the Texas Hill Country, or considering making Boerne your home, this year's Fourth of July celebrations showcase everything that makes our community so special.

At United Country | Heritage Ranch Sales, we're proud to call Boerne home, and we love sharing the local traditions that make living here so rewarding.

Start your Independence Day bright and early at 8:00 AM with Boerne's patriotic Flag Run 5K beginning at Main Plaza. Participants are encouraged to carry a full-sized American flag during the race for a chance to earn a special award. Every runner also receives an event T-shirt and finisher medal, making this a fun tradition for both competitive runners and families alike.

Beginning at 4:00 PM, East San Antonio Avenue transforms into a festive community celebration during the Black Rifle Independence Day Block Party. Visitors can enjoy live music, a community car show, food trucks, local vendors, axe throwing, family-friendly activities, and Black Rifle Coffee Company's popular Steak Night. It's the perfect way to spend the afternoon before the evening festivities begin.

This year, the Fourth of July also falls on First Saturday, making downtown Boerne even more vibrant. From 5:00 to 8:00 PM, visitors can enjoy extended shopping hours, live music, dining specials, and special activities throughout the Hill Country Mile. It's one of the best times to explore Boerne's charming downtown while supporting local businesses.

No Independence Day celebration is complete without fireworks, and Boerne's official fireworks display begins at 9:00 PM at Boerne City Park. Bring lawn chairs, arrive early, and enjoy one of the Hill Country's favorite Fourth of July traditions.

The celebration continues throughout town with live music performances at local patios, breweries, restaurants, and downtown venues. Whether you're looking to relax after the fireworks or enjoy an evening with family and friends, there are plenty of opportunities to experience Boerne's local music scene.

The festivities extend beyond July 4. On July 5, Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort will host its America 250 Celebration featuring a First Responders Breakfast, pool games, face painting, live music, and an evening fireworks display over the golf course.

Also on July 5, the Boerne Concert Band will perform another patriotic concert at Veterans Plaza beginning at 7:00 PM, giving visitors another opportunity to celebrate America's 250th anniversary through music.

If you're looking for something a little different, Texas Treasures Co. is hosting an America 250 Treasure Hunt through July 4, where shoppers can search for specially marked $250 treasures hidden throughout its three downtown locations.

History enthusiasts can also stop by the Patrick Heath Public Library throughout June to explore a special America 250 display highlighting important moments, people, and milestones in American history.

Events like these are one of the many reasons people love calling Boerne home. From hometown traditions and local businesses to community events that bring neighbors together, Boerne offers a lifestyle that reflects the best of the Texas Hill Country.
